My work is a reflection of my interst in food and religion, two seemingly disconnected themes which are juxtaposed to challenge and provoke the viewer.



I consider myself a spiritual person with many questions about religion which remain unanswered. I am intrigued by the many mysteries which surround religion. My interest in food emerges as a result of personal experience related to my relationship with food.



I have superimposed objects and materials into images which I have found on the internet as part of a photo collage practice. This type of material intervention in the photographic image is a key part in my process and important because of the religious or spiritual associations.



Creating these images is a way for me to understand the people who inhabit or live in places I haven't yet visited. They have given me new insight into storytelling, spirituality and religion I did not have before. At the same time they have widened my own understanding of different belief systems.
